IKEA has officially announced its first-ever Alabama store, set to open in early 2026 in Huntsville, marking a major milestone for local residents, shoppers across the state and state lines. It will be located at the University Place Shopping Center, near popular hubs like MidCity and Bridge Street Town Centre. The store will bring the full IKEA experience much closer to home.

Home Furnishings & More Affordable, modern furniture alongside home accessories, lighting, kitchenware and textiles.
Design Planning Area Onsite IKEA planners to help design kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and small-space living solutions.
Food Experience The signature IKEA restaurant serving Swedish meatballs, cinnamon buns and other favorites, with take-home market options.
Accessibility & Affordability No more road trips to Atlanta or Memphis... Huntsville residents will have a source for stylish, budget-friendly home goods just down the street.
