Your courage, sacrifice and dedication ensure the freedoms we enjoy every day here in Madison and across the country. Whether you're a veteran yourself or have one in your family, we honor you... not just today, but always.

From all of us at The Madison Memo... thank you for your service.

Trivia Question❓

How many flags are there in this newsletter?

Answer at the bottom of the newsletter

During the government shutdown in Madison County, the water department has suspended late fees and disconnections for non-payment.

Customers who are unable to pay their bill during this time will not face penalties.

The department is encouraging residents to continue paying their bills if possible, but understands the financial strain the shutdown may be causing for some.

What I personally love about Jason's Deli take-out is that they package each meal separately when we order for our family.

My son calls it the free ice cream place 😊

I Wanted To Teach My Kids About Money

... I bought it because I wanted to teach her something.

You know... smart habits, how to save, how money really works.

She rolled her eyes. “Is this like Monopoly?”

I said, “Kinda… but better.”

Getting her to play took some convincing.

But once we started? She got it. Fast.

Next thing I know, she’s buying up property, managing expenses, collecting passive income like a tiny mogul.

Me? I was stuck in debt and missed a paycheck.

By the end of the game, she looked at me with a grin and said,
“You should’ve invested earlier, Dad.”

Brutal.

But also? Kinda perfect.

Your kid will probably kick your butt too!
