Gas prices are reaching record highs ahead of Memorial Day weekend, with the national average price for a gallon of gas rising to $3.049.

This is the highest price since November 2014, and experts predict that prices will continue to rise throughout the summer.

The increase in gas prices is due to a combination of factors, including rising oil prices, increased travel demand, and the effects of the Colonial Pipeline cyberattack.

As a result, many Americans may opt to stay closer to home or take shorter trips this holiday weekend to save on fuel costs.

Summer is Coming... Should You Put a Freezer in Your Garage

Q: Can you keep a freezer in the garage during Alabama summers?
Yes, but it helps to use a garage-ready freezer. Garages can get very hot in the summer and not every freezer is designed to work well in those temperatures.

Q: What does “garage-ready” mean?
It usually means the freezer is built to handle a wider range of temperatures than a regular indoor freezer. That matters when your garage gets hot during the day or chilly in the winter.

Q: What should you think about before buying one?

Make sure there is space around the freezer for airflow, plug it into a proper outlet and avoid overloading the circuit. Also think about what you’ll actually store in it because a full freezer can be useful for bulk meat, frozen meals, garden vegetables and those “we might need this later” Costco runs.

A garage freezer can be a great summer helper, especially for busy families, bulk shoppers and anyone trying to avoid extra grocery trips. Just make sure it is built for garage temperatures before you trust it with a few hundred dollars’ worth of food. Something to think about before you buy that freezer on Facebook Marketplace.

The Holy Mop...

I'm not sure what kind of mop y'all use but I've since moved on from those spaghetti mops. I did have an iRobot mop but I didn't feel that it did any good. So I went on a search for a new one and lo and behold I found one that I am loving for my home floors and gym floors.

💡 Answer to Trivia Question:

C) Poppy

The red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars. It reminds Americans of the sacrifices made by our veterans while protecting our freedoms.
